Largest civil chopper service provider enters India to fill the large potential civil chopper opportunity.
according to its CEO, Rob Wiesenthal, India’s major cities are facing acute traffic congestion problem, which paves the way for on- demand Air travel entities like Blade aviation to mitigate that problem with suitable utilisation of existing Heliports in these cities. Blade had partnered with Hunch ventures, New Delhi based venture capital firm which focus on consumer oriented business, to form a JV company called Blade India and had appointed Amar Abrol, former CEO of Air Asia India to head Blade India.
to start with, Blade India will launch services from Mumbai and will connect to Pune and Shirdi through the existing heliports of Juhu and Mahalaxmi. in the long run Blade India will create ambient lounge space at these heliports and make them attractive to Business Travellers.
with airport congestion at Mumbai and Delhi airports, the business travellers may find this option convenient and less cumbersome to commute to the business and leisure needs.
